I’ve been looking for the ideal pattern for some fabrics I bought from Sallie Tomato when they were on sale. The Zalmora crossbody pattern by Country Cow Designs looks great in those denim and canvas selections. I chose this pattern because of the shape. It’s basically a boxy bag that is large enough for an ipad, which makes it an ideal travel bag. It’s small enough to fit on the airplane but big enough to carry the essentials. I even remembered to add a TMT tag.

There aren’t any exterior pockets but it would be easy enough to add one if needed. Since this was my first attempt at this design, I followed the pattern. I used the binding method of finishing so I only had to sew and bind four corners instead of eight if using the no-binding method. This is also the first pattern by Country Cow I’ve tried, and I liked how complete the instructions were. They also have a follow-along video that I found helpful.
