Waxed Canvas Backpack

This is my second square backpack. This time, I used a nice faded red waxed canvas for the exterior and a parchment colored lining. I added a zippered pocket to the front and a zippered interior pocket to the lining. The straps are a natural color, and I eliminated the carry strap from the front because it seemed unnecessary, and flops around when the bag is worn.

I was able to use lessons I learned from the blue canvas version of this bag to make this version so much better. I really like how the waxed canvas came together into a sturdy, professional feel to the finished bag. Based on the binding practice I did with the placemats and mini quilts, I was much more successful in applying the binding to this bag, and it looks really good.

I gave the bag to Becky to try it out and provide feedback.
