Once I created my custom ukulele case, I decided I needed a matching case for my portable music stand. And I wanted to have the ability to attach this case to the uke case so they could both be carried together. I had leftover fabric for both the exterior and lining, so the only financial outlay was for the hardware. It required a 22” zipper, 2 swivel hooks, 2 D rings, a slider, and webbing for the adjustable strap. I used the cheap plastic case that came with my music stand as the template for the pattern. It’s basically just a fabric tube with a zipper along the side and all four corners boxed.
This was a very quick project that only required sewing the zipper between the exterior and lining, sewing up the end seams after inserting the swivel hooks on fabric tabs, then boxing the corners.
