I found some lovely gray waxed canvas at Boersma’s Sewing in McMinnville, and had to buy some even though I had no project in mind. I perused my usual websites and found the Compass Tote on Noodlehead, and just had to marry the two. This is my first branded bag! My lovely sister made me some prototype Too Many Totes tags, so I sewed one on an exterior pocket.
This bag has two exterior slip pockets, one on each short side, and one interior slip pocket. It has a magnetic snap closure and a fixed length strap, long enough to use as a crossbody bag. The bag is big enough to carry binders like my ukulele music.
The pattern has an alternate size (smaller) and alternate exterior cargo pockets with flap closures. Maybe I’ll make a second one with these features the next time I’m seduced by fabric.
