If you’re one of my three followers, you may notice I updated the website to make it a little easier to navigate. My bag projects continue to pile up, and it’s been getting difficult to scroll through everything on one page, like I had it set up. Now I have a separate page for each category of bag (backpack, handbag, luggage, tote, and specialty) so the list of completed items under each is more manageable. Now I have room to show you even more totes!
My lovely husband gave me a brand new sewing machine for Christmas (Janome 3160QDC) so I’ve been getting used to all the upgraded features. I especially love the automatic thread cutter and the needle down button. Now I can have a machine at each house so I no longer have to transport it from place to place. I’m looking forward to trying out some more complicated patterns and materials to see what this baby can handle. My equally lovely son gave me a rivet press, so I can start upping my hardware game. Be on the lookout for rivets and grommets galore in my upcoming projects.
Some friends have been impressed with my recent bag projects and have commissioned me to make them bags, so I’m ordering materials and hardware. Becky continues to encourage me to think about selling some bags, but I’m not quite convinced. Although I do have an idea for a wine carrying bag made of cork that would be perfect for the local wine bar to sell….we’ll see!
